AAFD Fair Franchising Standards Now Available on Kindle

By Published On: August 1st, 2012

We are delighted to announce that the AAFD Fair Franchising Standards is now available for all in the Amazon Kindle Marketplace. The AAFD Standards is the second AAFD publication offered in the Kindle Marketplace, joining Robert Purvin’s seminal work, The Franchise Fraud: How to Protect Yourself Before or After You Invest, and is a reaffirmation of our “blueprint to fair and balanced franchise agreements and relationships.”  A print edition will soon be offered at Amazon.com and other book distributors.

Simply put, franchises are looking to level the field. The current franchisor/franchisee relationship is too often dictatorial and/or adversarial. The AAFD Standards define a balance of the business interests for both the franchisor and the franchisee. Our Standards define the elements of recommended relationships and fairly balance the perspectives of both sides. Indeed, the AAFD Fair Franchising Standards, which is the product of fifteen years of collaborative discussion and negotiation, is the only known source that seeks to define “Best Practices” in franchising and describe what a “‘good practices’ franchise would look like.

“I am especially proud of the fine men and women who have served long and hard to make these standards a reality,” states Bob Purvin, CEO of the AAFD.  “More than forty dedicated individuals, representing franchisors, franchisees, and distinguished members of the franchise legal bar have invested hundreds of hours in achieving a negotiated, balanced, fair set of standards that will serve franchising’s best interests.”

The AAFD Fair Franchising Standards is selling for the minimum price of $2.99 and is FREE for Amazon Prime members.
