MEMBERSHIP: Voting membership is available only to members
who currently own a franchised business, and who participate in an AAFD
Trademark Chapter. First year dues for franchisee members are
currently $290 for single unit operators (including a $50 initiation fee,
$180 national dues for first location and $60 chapter dues credit).
Multi-unit owners are charged $40 per additional franchised unit owned.
Each AAFD Trademark chapter also assesses chapter dues to offset the
budgeted expenses of chapter activities and programs. The AAFD's
Painless Payment option allows franchisee members to authorize equal
monthly payments to their MasterCard and Visa accounts. ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP:
Ideal for prospective franchise buyers. Non-voting associate
membership is available to anyone interested in franchising. Associate
members receive all membership benefits, but associate members cannot vote
or participate in Trademark
Chapters of the Association. Dues for Associate members
are currently $119 for the first year, and $69 per year thereafter. ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP: Independent
franchisee associations may affiliate with the AAFD and participate as
voting members of the AAFD Franchisee Leadership Council. Affiliated trade
associations are granted AAFD Trademark Chapter status, and all members of
the affiliated association receive affiliate membership in the AAFD
(see immediately below). AFFILIATE
MEMBERSHIP: All franchisees who are members in good standing
of an independent franchisee association that is affiliated as a Trademark
Chapter of the AAFD are accorded affiliate member status in the
AAFD. Affiliate members are entitled to the same benefits as
Associate Members, but may upgrade to full Franchisee membership at a 50%
discount. SUPPORTING
MEMBERSHIP: Supporting membership is available to anyone or
any company that is interested in marketing goods and services to AAFD
members (only AAFD accredited franchisors are eligible for supporting
membership to market their franchise opportunities). Only Supporting
members are permitted to participate in AAFD Professional Services Panels,
advertise in AAFD publications, and exhibit at the AAFD's MarketPower
Trade Show. Supporting members may be voting or non-voting. Supporting
membership base dues are $500.00 per year. Most Supporting members
