The AAFD is a national non-profit trade association representing the rights and interests of franchisees and independent dealers throughout the United States. The AAFD was formed by Declaration of Trust in May of 1992 with the original mission of "Bringing Fairness to Franchising." As the AAFD has expanded and evolved, and as many fine franchising companies have stepped forward to contractually embrace the promise of Win-Win Franchising, the AAFD's mission has expanded, but can be succinctly stated as follows: To define, identify and to use marketplace solutions to promote Total Quality Franchising. Since its formation the Association has grown to represent thousands of franchised businesses throughout the United States. We currently have members in all 50 states and represent more than 200 different franchise systems. The AAFD's Fair Franchising Standards, Fair Franchising Seal, Trademark Chapters, and emphasis on Marketplace Solutions led to the Association's recognition as a growing force in franchising. The AAFD Purchasing Co-op and e-Commerce Marketplace add a new dimension to the value of AAFD membership. The Association is organized by the formation of exclusive Trademark Chapters representing all of the franchised systems for which we have a significant number of members. The Association's Trademark Chapters provide a crucial service of helping franchise systems throughout the United States develop consensus decisions within their franchise systems and to promote more equitable franchise relationships which exhibit the AAFD's goal of Total Quality Franchising! The AAFD has formed our exclusive trademark chapters for more than 60 franchise systems, with the goal of having an affiliated chapter for every franchise system in the U.S. The AAFD provides a broad range of member services designed to help
franchisees build market power, create legislative support of interest to
franchisees, provide legal and financial support, and provide a wide range
of general member benefits. As a quick perusal of our internet site

for information, products, services and support for anyone interested in
