AAFD Celebrates Total Quality Franchising Award Recipients for 2024

Theresa Leets, Samuel A.A. Levine, CK Patel, and Howard Bundy Recognized For their Contributions to Franchising    

May 2024, ENFIELD, CT – The American Association of Franchisees and Dealers hosted their Annual Franchisee Leadership Summit in St. Louis, MO on May 5-8, 2024.   Each year, the Total Quality Franchising (TQF) Awards represent AAFD’s opportunity to publicly recognize individuals, suppliers, and AAFD chapters that have made significant advances in supporting and promoting collaborative franchise cultures and fair and balanced franchise relationships, the AAFD’s vision for Total Quality Franchising. 

In 2024, the AAFD is pleased to recognize the following award recipients:  

  • Lifetime Achievement Award – Chandrakant I. “CK” Patel   
  • Robert L. Purvin Jr. Legacy Award – Howard Bundy 
  • AAFD Chairman’s Award – Theresa Leets & Samuel A.A. Levine 
  • Franchisee Member of the Year Award – Tom Conti, Griswold Homecare® 
  • AAFD Chapter of the Year Award – Line-X USA  
  • Rookie Chapter of the Year Award – The Cleaning Authority & Music Go Round  
  • Supporting Member of the Year Award – Leon Hirzel, Hirzel Dreyfuss & Dempsey, PLLC 
  • AAFD Trailblazer Awards: 
    • Mary Purcell, Clean Juice 
    • Drew Liedeker, The Cleaning Authority 
    • Darin Gardner, Taco Time 
    • Denise Staley, Taco Time

We had an incredibly impressive slate of nominees this year,” said Richard Stroiney, Chief Executive of the AAFD. “Our awards committee struggled to choose winners among the worthy and deserving nominees. I am thrilled at the progress and growth our chapters achieved during the past year in support of expanding the franchisee voice. 

It was a great honor to participate in presenting the awards on the final night to CK, Howard, Theresa, and Sam,” said Keith Miller, AAFD Director of Public Affairs and Engagement. “These individuals have made lasting a mark on franchising by supporting policies that improve the balance in the franchise relationship.  

The AAFD Total Quality Franchising Awards ceremony was held in conjunction with the AAFD’s 2024 Annual Franchisee Leadership Summit and Conference. The theme of our 2024 the conference was, “Success Through Collaboration,” and attendees had the opportunity to learn from and participate in sessions that provided professional and business development content to help them succeed in their business, as well as network with fellow franchisees, attorneys, and world-class suppliers, to create connections and share best business practices.
