SAVE THE DATE: The AAFD Announces Our 25th Anniversary Franchisee Leadership Summit and Celebration

Celebrating 25 Years of Total Quality Franchising

The American Association of Franchisees and Dealers (AAFD) has announced that the AAFD’s 25th Anniversary Franchisee Leadership Summit and Annual Meeting will be held May 1-3, 2017 in beautiful Palm Springs, California. We hope many AAFD members and friends will help us celebrate our silver anniversary and advance our passion to promote Total Quality Franchising!

Many long-time AAFD members recall that the AAFD’s signature Franchisee Leadership Summit and Annual Conference celebrates great franchising cultures and sets the standard for the positive evolution of franchising practices. On May 1, 2017 the AAFD will celebrate its 25th Anniversary—an important achievement as we continue to be the longest tenured and most respected national trade association advocating for franchisee rights and celebrating collaborative franchise cultures.

Our annual meeting is an important opportunity for the franchisee community, including members of AAFD chapters and affiliated independent associations, to meet in person. Attendees have the opportunity to cross pollinate ideas with other chapters, network, meet our AAFD Supplier Members, and to discuss important topics that affect all franchise owners.

“During the Great Recession, it was difficult for many of our members to budget for our annual conference,” said AAFD Chairman, Robert Purvin.  “Our 25^th Anniversary celebration gives us added impetus to relaunch the AAFD’s signature event that allows our members to share experiences, press our common agenda, learn from one another, and to recognize the hard work and success achieved by many AAFD members and affiliated associations.”

The AAFD also announced that our highly coveted Totally Quality Franchising Awards will return as part of the AAFD’s 25^th Anniversary Awards Celebration. The nominating process has commenced for the AAFD to recognize leading achievement in franchising for 2016 in the following categories:

• AAFD Franchisor of the Year
• AAFD Lifetime Achievement Award
• AAFD Member of the Year
• The Coveted AAFD Chairman’s Awards for Distinguished Service and Achievement in the Pursuit of Total Quality Franchising
• Recognition of AAFD Fair Franchising Seal Recipients
• AAFD Chapter of the Year and Rookie Chapter of the Year
• AAFD Supplier Member of the Year
• AAFD Team Member of the Year
