And the Total Quality Franchising Award Nominees Are…

Meet US in St. Louis! Our AAFD Franchisee Leadership Summit Venue is Top Notch

By Published On: September 12th, 2018

I have recently returned froma site visit to the Chase Park Plaza Royal Sonesta Hotel in St. Louis. The Chase Park will host the 2018 AAFD Franchisee Leadership Summit and Conference this October 21-24.  I am happy to report to prospective attendees and delegates that we are in for a wonderful experience – a great venue and a great city.

About the Venue

The Chase Park is a landmark hotel that borders Forest Park, the largest urban park in the United States. Our general sessions, luncheons, tradeshow and Total Quality Franchising Awards banquet all occur in the hotel’s Starlight or Zodiac Ballrooms that sit on the top floor with a panoramic view of the beautiful Forrest Park.

Chase Park features comfortable and very convenient sleeping rooms, several excellent restaurants, and excellent amenities. The room rate of $179 per night is the same as last year in Palm Desert, but there is NO RESORT FEE attached! And I was most surprised to learn that all sleeping rooms are one-bedroom suites! Only a limited number of rooms are available at this rate, so book ASAP. (Use Group Code: 1019AAFD)

What to Do in St. Louis

Perhaps the most exciting enticement for our attendees is the host city of St. Louis! The city is filled with entertaining and fun activities that cry out for delegates to come early or extend their visit. St. Louis and the beautiful Forest Park are inviting venues that can provide plenty of activities for adults and the whole family. All St. Louis civic venues, the Park, the great museums, even the famous Saint Louis Zoo are FREE to visitors – both local and out-of-towners!

And no trip to St. Louis would be complete without a visit the iconic Gateway Arch. For a small fee, you can ride to the top of the Arch and see the entire city below. Another great activity is the fun and popular interactive City Museum downtown.

And let’s not forget the food. St. Louis will feed you some of the best BBQ in the U.S. (think Bogart’s, Pappy’s Smokehouse, and Sugarfire Smokehouse). Don’t miss out on signature dishes such as “toasted ravioli’ and ‘gooey butter cake.’ We will do our best to introduce attendees to St. Louis favorites, but will welcome members to come early and stay late to absorb local flavor.
