AAFD Support of Professor Alvaro Bedoya for Commissioner at the Federal Trade Commission
AAFD has had conversations with Federal Trade Commission nominee, Professor Alvaro Bedoya. Based on those conversations we have taken the position to support his nomination as Commissioner.
Our letter to the Senate Leaders can be found here (AAFD Letter of Support). We believe he is a person of intellect and integrity, and we look forward to working with him at the FTC to take steps to fix the power imbalance that currently exists in franchising, to better protect franchisees. He will soon be up for his confirmation vote in the United States Senate. We have identified a handful of Senators that are on the fence.
