With nearly two decades of experience in finance and business operations, he has a proven track record of structuring complex deals, optimizing underperforming businesses, and building scalable systems.

Before launching Biaxis, Matney spent 18 years in banking, ultimately serving as SVP of Middle Market Banking at Truist, where he raised over $3 billion in capital for middle-market businesses. He built a reputation for financing hard-to-structure deals, working with companies others deemed too complex or risky.
