Leadership Summit
To network, collaborate, and grow together, each year AAFD and its delegate members gather in person.
Our next Franchisee Leadership Summit is scheduled for 2027. We will keep you updated with more details.

AAFD Franchisee Legislative Activity
Advancing franchise legislation is a long-term effort—often requiring years to demonstrate both the existence of a problem and the effectiveness of a proposed solution. Franchisee engagement is critical; legislators respond to their constituents, and sustained advocacy makes the difference.
Franchisee Leadership Council (FLC)
What is the FLC? The FLC is a delegate-based body within the AAFD, consisting of members from the AAFD’s House of Delegates. It plays a crucial role in influencing federal and state legislation and regulation through strategic relationship building. The House of Delegates, acting as a legislative assembly within the association, sets the AAFD’s action agenda. This structure empowers members to directly influence the association’s objectives and strategies, ensuring their voices are integral in shaping the direction and focus of the AAFD.

Working Together to Promote Fair Franchising Practices
The American Association of Franchisees and Dealers (AAFD) and the Coalition of Franchisee Associations (CFA) have joined forces to champion legislative initiatives that protect and empower franchisees. By working together, we aim to address critical issues such as fair franchising practices, increased transparency, and stronger contractual protections. Our collaborative effort focus on advancing policies that ensure franchisees have a voice in shaping a more equitable and sustainable franchising environment.
Ready to take an active role in Fair Franchising? Get involved today.
Whether you want to join the legislative movement, stay informed on regulatory changes, or lend your voice to ongoing advocacy efforts, AAFD is your platform for change. Fair franchising laws don’t happen by accident. They happen because franchisees like you choose to act.
