AAFD Joint Venture is the first National Trade Association to offer new Cost-Efficient Retirement Plans
(Palm Desert, CA,) March 28, 2021 – American Association of Franchisees and Dealers (AAFD), a national trade association advocating for franchisees and independent dealers, today announced AAFD PEP Retirement Plans, a new Branded Partnership with Access Retirement Solutions, a Pooled Employer Plan (PEP) 401(k) retirement benefit provider. The unique and significant collaboration allows AAFD members to tap into affordable retirement plan options and offer them to their employees.
This year, a new retirement saving tool known as Pooled Employer Plans (PEPs) opened an untapped opportunity for small businesses to offer affordable 401(k) savings plans to their employees due to the passage of the SECURE ACT, which made plans more conducive to simple and cost-effective designs with low-cost administrative fees. The new PEP 401(k) paves the way for franchisees to offer a quality retirement plan benefit and in turn, encourages the number of participants to grow for small and mid-sized businesses.

According to a 2018 study by the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistic, nearly half of employers with less than 100 workers did not offer a retirement plan.
