Keith Miller Testifies to Senate Subcommittee on Behalf of Franchisees
Last week, we sent out an urgent call to our membership to contact your Senators and encourage them to attend a hearing held by the US Senate Banking Subcommittee on Economic Policy. The hearing was titled, “Economic Mobility: Is the American Dream in Crisis?”
Keith Miller, a tireless advocate for franchisee rights, was invited to testify before the subcommittee. (We hope to post a first-person account from Keith in the near future.) Keith’s presence was a significant “win” for franchisees, as he is likely the first franchisee not handpicked by the International Franchise Association (IFA), to testify before Congress and to testify about franchisee issues since 1999.

On behalf of the AAFD, we would like to thank Keith for his continued fight for Fair Franchising. We also encourage our members to always be ready to contact their representatives to advocate for Fair Franchising protections when the opportunity arises.
We will be hosting a roundtable dedicated to legislative strategies at the upcoming AAFD Franchisee Leadership Summit and Annual Conference. Learn more about our leadership summit and register today.
